ASSISTANT MANAGER/DEPUTY MANAGER - FINANCE
(Kuala Lumpur)
Responsibilities:
Ensure General Takaful accounts and reports are prepared accurately and timely in accordance to proper accounting standards and in compliance with regulatory requirements. To provide system support for Premia (General) and non-core system for post production issues.
The responsibilities entails(but not limited to):
1.Provide system support for accounting matters for non-core systems and data migration for Premia (General) that includes:
- maintaining account setups
- maintaining Chart of Accounts
- resolving production issues
- testing UCRs
- UAT for new products and data migration
- Compile General Takaful Fund’s claims registers, reconcile the figures with GL and analyse the figures. Liaise with Claims Department for any issues arising.
- Preparing audit schedules for claims
2.Analyse contribution and commission figures reporting in the management accounts
3.Prepare and analyse Bad Debt from Ageing Reports for Co-Takaful Inward, Treaty Recoveries and Facultative
4.Recoveries - to liaise with respective departments for any issues arising
5.Prepare Stamp Duty report (Monthly), Service Tax report (every 2 months) for Payout unit
- Prepare TOSS for General Takaful Fund including ensuring the accuracy of the figures and timely submission
- Preparing claims data to be used by MIS for ISM submission and ensuring the difference with TOSS are within the allowable limit
- Document policies and procedures for continuous improvements.
- Train and develop staff for future advancement.
- Other ad-hoc assignments assigned by the management
Requirements:
- Candidate must possess at least a Diploma, Advanced/Higher/Graduate Diploma, Bachelor’s Degree, Post Graduate Diploma, Professional Degree, Finance/Accountancy/Banking or equivalent.
- Required language(s): Bahasa Malaysia, English
- At least 3 year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position.
- Preferably Senior Executives specializing in Finance - GL/Reporting.
- Candidates who is working with or have worked with Insurance Companies with related background will be highly considered
- Full-Time positions available.
