SENIOR BUYER – PLANNER/ ASIA PURCHASING

LOCATION: Malaysia

Responsibilities :-

- Be responsible for the planning and purchasing of materials to meet Western Digital Manufacturing and operations requirement at an optimum inventory level

Qualifications :-

- Degree in any discipline (preferably in Engineering) with minimum 1 year related working experience in direct Material procurement

- Strong communication, interpersonal and negotiation skill

- Must be PC literate in spreadsheet and knowledge in production control / planning

- Good command of spoken and written English.

ENGINEER/ ENGINEERING EQUIPMENT – STW

Responsibilities :-

- Responsible for the performance and maintenance of production equipment in his area of responsibility.

- Implement systems to maintain and improve equipment maintenance and preventive maintenance of all manufacturing and associated equipment / machinery.

- Responsible for spare parts usage monitoring and inventory level to avoid equipment downspare occurring.

- Plan and ensure a smooth transfer of new product to meet MPS requirements.

Qualifications :-

- Degree holder in Engineering or equivalent.

SL PLATFORM MANAGER

LOCATION: Malaysia

Responsibilities :-

- Management of WDM NPI Engineering Team and deliverables.

- Introduction of new products and (HDD & HSA) to WD operations.

- Coordinate introduction of new processes to WD operations.

- Provide factory program management support on post-transfer product changes.

- Provide product change control support through documentation and product configuration system (PCS).

Qualifications :-

- Degree in Electronics / Electrical Engineering or equivalent.

- 5 or more years experience in Disk Drive / electronics industry.

- 1 or more years management experience.

- Good command of spoken and written English

ENGINEER – QUAL SAMPLE COORDINATOR

LOCATION: Malaysia

Responsibilities :-

- Management of SL Qualification Samples – Plan, schedule, commit, track, deliver and status Qualification samples activities.

- Plan / Schedule – Receive request and align resources to execute the build including PC scheduling.

- Update DSOMS with commit.

- Ensure builds are completing to schedule and are not having difficulties.

- Ship the samples to the location desired, provide communication and status of shipments.

- Provide weekly report with status of all eval activities including LIP.

Qualifications :-

- Degree in Electronics / Electrical Engineering or equivalent.

- 4 or more years experience in Disk Drive / electronics industry.

- 1 or more years project experience.

- Good command of spoken and written English.

PLATFORM PROJECT MANAGER/ ASIA NPI (WDM)

LOCATION: Malaysia

Responsibilities :-

- Management of WDM and WDTH NPI Engineering Team and its deliverables for HDD Development Build and Initial Ramp phases.

- Introduction of new products’ development builds and initial ramp into WD operations.

- Coordinate introduction of new products’ new processes / model numbers to WD operations.

- Provide factory program management support on multiple product configuration changes during Development Build phase.

- Provide product change control support through documentation and product configuration system (PCS).

Qualifications :-

- Degree in Electronics / Electrical / Mechatronics / Mechanical Engineering, IE or equivalent.

- 5 or more years experience in Disk Drive / electronics industry.

- 2 or more years of project management experience, especially New Product Intro / Launch related.

- Demonstrated leadership and negotiation skills; good teamwork; excellent communication abilities (verbally and presentation).

- Good command of spoken and written English.

ENGINEER – SENIOR ENGINEER / READ CHANNEL & SERVO CHARACTERIZATION

LOCATION: Malaysia

Responsibilities :-

- Provide characterization test support as part of requirements for qualification of component sources and engineering changes.

- Acquire and transfer skills and knowledge needed to perform characterization tests from WDC.

- Analyze the data collected and provide engineering recommendation.

- Perform failure analysis or channel the failure to responsible groups for analysis.

- Determine the root cause and feedback to initiate corrective action

- Maintain the characterization test system and equipment.

Qualifications :-

- Degree in Electrical / Electronics Engineering.

- 1-2 years relevant experience in a HD manufacturing facility preferred.

STAFF ENGINEER/FIRMWARE ENGINEERING DEPARTMENT

LOCATION: Malaysia

Responsibilities :-

- Design, program, analyze, debug, and modify real-time embedded firmware code applications to support new program introduction and enhance factory Cost, Yield, Quality and performance.

- Work very closely with product, quality, reliability, customer and firmware verification FIT teams to help identify drive firmware issues and develop solutions.

- Work with respective functional teams (e.g. servo, channel, PCBA, Mechanical, IC, interface, test, FIT) to bring up new hardware and software with the firmware features.

Qualifications :-

- Master’s / Bachelor’s Degree in Computer / Electronics Engineering

- Extensive in-depth experience with C / C++, assembly languages, code development process with debug emulation and simulation tools.

- Embedded system development, ARM and real-time programming

- ATA, SATA, SAS, SCSI experience is a plus.

- Sound knowledge of uP base electronics, system design, analysis and application.

- Good command of spoken and written English.

- Willing to travel Asia QC Manufacturing-Drive.

SENIOR ENGINEER/ ENGINEER/QUALITY FA ENGINEERING DEPARTMENT

LOCATION: Malaysia

Responsibilities :-

- To perform failure analysis on drive (s) functional fallout from FQA / Reliability and field return.

- To work with supporting team, to support new product transfer activities.

- To recommend opportunity / solution to contain or reduce the drive fallouts.

- Continue to strive for FQA dppm and Reliability failure rate improvement.

- Communicate with US counterpart to resolve factory issues.

Qualifications :-

- Bachelor or Master of Electrical / Electronics Engineering or Bachelor or Master of Science (e.g. Physics / Material Science) or equivalent with 5 years working experience in related field.

- Able to communicate effectively and be able to work in a team.

- Good command of spoken and written English.

STAFF ENGINEER – SENIOR ENGINEER – ENGINEER / SERVO ENGINEERING DEPARTMENT

LOCATION: Malaysia

Responsibilities :-

- Perform failure analysis and resolve technical issues related to Servo and Hard Disk Drive.

- Firmware coding to improve servo control.

- Communicate with US counterpart to resolve factory issues.

Qualifications :-

- Degree in Mechanical, Mechatronics, Electrical / Electronic Engineering with CGPA of 3 and above.

- Preferably with minimum 1 year working experience in a high volume manufacturing environment.

- Strong knowledge in programming language preferably C Language

- Strong analytical and good communication skills.

- Good command of spoken and written English.
