ASSISTANT FINANCIAL CONTROLLER

The Scope of Work:

- To oversee thorough ongoing training of all staff members including induction and ensures their ongoing effectiveness.
- To be hands on and take an active role in daily activities in the department, ensuring that all works are up to date and assisting staff members where this is required.
- To ensures that all works are performed accurately in accordance with owner, statutory and fiscal requirements on a timely manner.
- To assist the Director of Finance in providing support on financial and commercial matters to the general manager and the Hotel Team, including the interpretation of financial data.
- To assist the Director of Finance in developing high quality management information and performance management that is timely and accurate.
- To assist in budget preparation.
- To assume the role of Director of Finance in his/her absence.

The Candidate:

- Able to take up the Financial Controller position in near future
- At least 5 years working experience in similar capacity in hotel industry
- Degree in Accounting / Finance or ACCA / CIMA / MICPA qualification or its equivalent
- Strong planning, analytical, organization skills & decision making skills
- Good interpersonal communication skills
- Resilient and loves challenges
- Able to manage a team of 30 employees
- Experience in SunSystem and Vision will be an added advantage
