The premiere island resort in the Philippines is looking for career driven individuals to fill up vacant key positions:

Pastry Chef
(Southern Tagalog)

Responsibilities:

S/he will be responsible in running and coordinating the activities of the pastry section. S/hewill also be responsible in developing new recipes for pastry items. Liaising with the Executive Chef regarding customer numbers and orders Responsible for relieving any section of the kitchen operation in the absence of any chef.

Requirements:

1. Minimum 5 years experience leading the pastry section of a 5-star hotel, resort or well known patisserie
2. Proven strong management & leadership skills and a willing team player
3. Operationally hands on chef
4. Flexible and able to work under pressure well; ability to multi-task
5. Creative and self motivated individual
6. Effective written and oral communication in English and able to interpret and make decisions
7. Ability to deal with the general public, guests, employees and others with courtesy
8. Ability to motivate and direct a diverse staff; Has strong training skills and enjoys training others
9. Good eye for detail and using the best quality products
10. Understanding of basic food hygiene or HACCP an advantage

Asian Cuisine Chef
(Southern Tagalog)

Responsibilities:

S/he will lead be part of a team who handles the preparation of all Asian cuisine menu items. S/he will be working closely with the Executive Chef and Executive Sous Chef in developing new menu items.

Requirements:

1. GOOD experience in an Asian cuisine restaurant; Good Work skills;Experience in working overseas or on a luxury liner is an advantage
2. Motivated and self driven; ability to work with minimum supervision as well as in team
3. Knowledge in Thai, Malay, Indonesian, Chinese food an advantage
4. Willing to learn new dishes and train other people on these dishes when required
5. Understanding of basic food hygiene or HACCP an advantage
