First BASE Laboratories Sdn Bhd is a research-based company specializes in the production of molecular biology related products. We are expanding rapidly and currently looking for suitable candidates for the following positions:
Technical Support Officer
Location: Based in Seri Kembangan
Responsibilities:
- Provide technical assistance to end-users and drive resolution of complaints in timely manner.
- Support technical enquiries and visit end-users in resolving application difficulties.
- Drive process improvement projects and perform R&D activities.
- Part of the team that envisions and creates competitive advantages for our products and services.
Requirements:
- Candidate must possess MSc or PhD in Molecular Biology, Biotechnology, Microbiology or equivalent.
- Resourceful and able to perform independently in a fast paced environment.
- Minimum 5 years of wet-lab research experiences.
- Prior experience in PCR, qPCR, RNAi, DNA sequencing or Proteomics applications will be added advantages.
Lab Technician (4 part-timers wanted)
Location: Based in Seri Kembangan
Responsibilities:
- Perform laboratory experiments and manufacturing activities.
- Report to Lab Officer and perform routine daily tasks.
- Operates high-technology laboratory equipment.
Requirements:
- Candidates must possess at least STPM or Diploma in Biotechnology or equivalent fields.
- Able to work independent in a fast paced environment and non-smoker.
- With or without prior experience in working in a laboratory.
- Great opportunity for fresh graduates to learn industry-standard biotechnology applications.
- 4 part-time positions available.
Service Engineer
Location: Based in Seri Kembangan
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and executing preventive maintenance for lab equipments and machines.
- Repair lab equipments and machines promptly.
- Provide aid in electrical mishap.
- Perform Mechanical engineering duties surrounding the following; mechanical devices, components, lab equipments, machine tools, leaky tubes/pipes, choked tubes, automated manufacturing equipment.
- Perform Electrical and Electronics engineering duties surrounding the following; troubleshooting faulty PCBs, faulty wire, damaged wire fittings, soldering of electrical parts, electrical trip, distributing electrical power, eliminating electrical noise.
- Manage and compiling fault reports.
Requirements:
- Knowledge of applicable Electronics, Electrical as well as Mechanical Engineering. Work require the ability to understand “abstract” design of machine principles as well as lab equipments. Working knowledge of mechanical, electrical and electronics device. This is normally acquired through experience and a combination of the completion of a Diploma in Electronics, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
- Work requires being meticulous and patient in dealing with machinery or lab equipments.
- Work requires willingness to work a flexible schedule.
Lab Officer
Location: Based in Seri Kembangan
Responsibilities:
- Planning, instructing and performing daily routine laboratory experiments.
- Report to Production Manager and construct R&D activities of the involved department.
Requirements:
- Candidate must possess at least Degree in Molecular Biology, Microbiology or equivalent.
- Able to perform independently in a fast paced environment.
- Able to work independent with multi-tasking workload.
- Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply. Experienced in DNA Sequencing application will be an advantage.
- Applicants must be willing to work in Seri Kembangan with rotating shifts.
- 1 Full-Time positions available.
