Pastry Chef
(Kedah – Langkawi)

Responsibilities:

- Excellent pastry, baking and demonstration skills
- Manage the production item in the hotel and bakery
- Order food supplies when required, manage kitchen transfers and ensure the kitchen maintains a minimum stock
- Propose menus to the Exec Chef that are cost effective and in accordance with trends and market demands
- Ensure a clean kitchen, hygienic work procedures and high safety standards
- Must be able to manage,organize, direct and supervise the pastry production and preparation
- Must have strong knowledge of modern contemporary plated desserts, classic European and Asian desserts
- Successful track record of managing food cost and inventory control

Requirements:

- Candidate must possess at least a Certificate in Culinary Art or equivalent.
- At least 3 year(s) of working experience in the related field.
- Ability to work in a team-driven environment, take direction, offer direction and assist with problem-solving
- Is responsible for the set-up of the pastry display in all food areas. Follows the provided recipes, ensuring that all pastry products are presented according to the provided photos, using proper yields and portion control

Cost Controller
(Kedah – Langkawi)

Responsibilities:

- To be responsible for the implementation of cost control policies and procedures
- Monitoring the receiving, storing and issuing in accordance with the cost control policies and procedures
- To check and control on daily food cost.
- Conduct monthly inventory check on all food and beverage items in the store and outlets.
- To prepare monthly reconciliation on food and beverage

Requirements:

- Candidate must possess at least a Higher Secondary/STPM/”A” Level/Pre-U, Diploma, Advanced/Higher/Graduate Diploma, Bachelor’s Degree, Post Graduate Diploma or Professional Degree in Business Studies/Administration/Management, Finance/Accountancy/Banking or equivalent.
- At least 2 year(s) of working experience in Hotel or related industry in a similar capacity.
- Strong leadership and organization skills.
- Knowledge on Fidelio Materials Control System will be an added advantage
- Able to work independently
