Senior Lecturers and Lecturers
(Penang - Main Campus)

Responsibilities:

The appointees will be engaged in developing and coordinating the delivery of courses in their respective disciplines and undertake research in relevant areas.

School of Business and Administration

- Accounting
- Finance and Banking
- Human Resource Management / Strategic Management
- Economics, Statistics and Research Methods
- Corporate Governance and Corporate Administration
- Small Business Management and Entrepreneurship
- Business and Company Law

School of Science and Technology

- IT/Computer Science (Financial Information Systems, Multimedia, ERP)

School of Foundation and Liberal Studies

- Psychology with strengths in Cognitive, Social, Development, Clinical or Health Psychology
- Social Science / Humanities with strengths in Sociology, Political Science, or History

School of Education, Languages and Communications (Based in Kuala Lumpur)

- Linguistics and Literature
- Mass Communication – Majoring in Journalism and Advertising

Requirements:

- A Masters degree from an accredited University in the relevant discipline.
- Excellent command of English and competency in Bahasa Malaysia.
- Experience in Teacher Education and teaching, specialization in curriculum and methodology. [-for School of Education, Languages & Communications]
- Experience in Open Distance Learning programmes and/or a record of research and publications would be an added advantage.

The Job:

- Coordinate the development of ODL materials for undergraduate and postgraduate courses.
- Coordinate the delivery of courses in the prescribed fields within the School.
- Participate in the recruitment, training, management and evaluation of part-time tutors.
- Maintain close liaison with external examiners, course writers and course assessors.
- Maintain close working relationship with other support units such as Registry, Library, Educational Technology & Publishing.
- Prepare assignment and examination questions and their accompanying marking guides.
- Undertake such other appropriate duties as are assigned by the Dean and the Vice Chancellor.

Assistant Manager / Sr. Executive (Events Management)
(Penang - Main Campus)

Requirements:

- Degree in Business Administration / Hospitality Management
- Minimum 3 years in Events Management
- Computer literate
- Good communication skill at all level
- Mature personality with passion in sales, dynamic and result oriented
- Highly motivated, responsible, committed and able to work independently
- Preferred language English, proficiency in Chinese, Bahasa Malaysia
- Ability to work long hours and weekends.
- Must possess own transport
- Applicants should be Malaysian citizens.

The Job:

- To market the University’s facilities such as Theatres, Seminar Rooms, Dinning Hall, Open Garden Terrace, Function Room and other facilities.
- Aggressive and determination to achieve stipulated sales target both individually and team work.
- Provide excellent customer service.
- Scheduled follow-up and feed back to the management.
- Support the day-to-day event coordination including the planning, organizing and controlling of all aspects of events activities.
- Provide on-site event support for registrations, setup and other related assignments.

Sr. Technician
(Penang - Main Campus)

Requirements:

- Diploma in Electrical
- More than 5 years in handling M & E in high rise buildings
- Applicants with LPPK certificate will be an added advantage
- Computer literate
- Good communication skill at all level
- Mature personality
- Highly motivated, responsible, committed and able to work independently
- Ability to work long hours and weekends
- Must possess own transport
- Applicants should be Malaysian citizens

The Job:

- To perform general maintenance in the University’s premises (internal & external buildings)
- To carry out all building related services such as checking, inspecting, maintaining, upkeep, air-con, plumbing, sanitary, lightings, telecommunications (PABX), CCTV, building structures and all other related services (M & E)
- Conduct regular and preventive checks on all equipments and machineries in the University to ensure that they are in good condition.

Senior Course Designer / Instructional Designer
(Penang - Main Campus)

Requirements:

- Bachelor degree in ICT, Computer Science, Electronics and/or Education.
- A Master’s degree in these fields or in education [Instructional Design] will be preferred.
- Good command of English language [Distinction in English 1119] would be a distinct advantage.
- Skills in Flash applications are also considered.

The Job:

- Convert raw materials into instructionally sound course materials in print and web-based modes.
- Train course writers to write in conformance with the house style.
