Malaysian Bank Jobs Vacancy 2010 as IT Helpdesk, Server Operator in Bank Pembangunan Malaysia

IT TECHNICAL SUPPORT STAFF (HELPDESK)
Responsibilities :
- To provide technical support in problem troubleshooting, in hardware (PC/network printer/scanner,etc) & software (OS/business application/desktop automation,etc), including all related installation & configuration required.
- To perform necessary update especially patches on all desktops to ensure it always up-to-date, including updating antivirus pattern.
- To perform remote/online & onsite support & troubleshooting.
- To perform distribution of computer asset.
- To attend & resolve problems or incidents logged in the IT helpdesk within the stipulated SLA.
- To prepare daily/weekly/monthly reports on the cases attend.
- To ensure all problems & solutions (steps taken) to rectify the problems to be properly recorded & documented for future reference.
Requirements :
- Posses at least SPM certification (with credit) or Diploma in IT related fields.
- Familiar & have hands on experience (at least 2 years) on Windows environment, particularly on Windows XP,Vista & 7.
- At least 2 years hands on experience & skills in handling daily desktop environment & printing, including office automation application.
- Familiar in desktop hardware architecture.
- Friendly in assisting & solving user’s problem through phone.
- Able to go extra miles in fulfilling duties.
- Eager to explore new things, resourceful, independent & can perform work with minimal supervision.
- Experience working in helpdesk environment including managing problem is a plus.
SERVER OPERATOR
Responsibilities :
- To manage day-to-day Data Centre (DC) operation & monitoring of all related DC infrastructure availability such as UPS, precision air-conditioning, CCTV, security access, etc, including servers, storage & network appliances.
- To ensure any faulty warning or alert are being attended accordingly through given procedures and guidelines or to be escalated for further action in a timely manner.
- To ensure routine backup process & any batch processing are done smoothly & completely according to schedule, manual & guideline given.
- To ensure security control of access to Data Centre is being strictly monitored, and a proper recording of visitors access to be done.
- To ensure proper housekeeping & cleanliness of the Data Centre.
- To be the first-tier support of any problem related to servers, storage, network appliances, etc.
- To ensure all day-to-day activities, problems and troubleshooting to be properly recorded & documented.
Requirements :
- Posses at least SPM certification (with credit) or Diploma in IT related fields
- Familiar & have hands on experience (at least 2 years) on Windows environment troubleshooting, particularly on Windows XP, Vista, 7 & 2003 server.
- Knowledge on server hardware architecture, Unix operating system environment & basic networking.
- Able to go extra miles in fulfilling duties.
- Eager to explore new things, resourceful, independent & can perform work with minimal supervision.
- Willing to work in shift, including flexible working hours, during weekends & public holiday (if required).
- Experience working in data centre operation including handling backup processing is a plus.
