Kolej Yayasan UEM is a non-profit, pre-university, residential college with the aim of preparing Malaysian students for entry into universities overseas, the great majority targeting the top universities in the UK. Our intake is academically selective, and many of our students are holders of government or industry scholarships that will support them through the latter years of school education and then through their university career. Standards and expectations are therefore extremely high and in a decade of operation, the college has already aided the entry of 50 Malaysian students into Oxford or Cambridge.

One third of our teachers are UK expatriates, classes are small, and the medium of instruction, using the Cambridge International specifications, is always through English.

We are currently seeking competent, dynamic individual with the qualifications and experience indicated below, to fill the position of :

ENGLISH TEACHER

Responsibilities :

- Teach English language skills in preparation for the IELTS examination.
- Monitor and evaluate students’ progress in the form of quizzes, tests and examinations.
- Prepare teaching materials.
- Attend all departmental and staff meetings.

Requirements :

- Candidates should have a Bachelors Degree or equivalent in English and a relevant teaching qualification.
- The ability to teach A-level Literature in English will be an advantage.
- At least 3 years’ experience as a teacher.
- Be self motivated, culturally sensitive, a team player and willing to experiment with new ideas.
