Vacancy of Financial Controller, Production Controller in Lloyd Morgan Asia

Our client is a leading garment manufacturing company with a renowned brand name, an aggressive business plan and solid financial support. As part of its growth plan, a need has arisen to recruit a Financial Controller to join the senior management team heading up the finance function related to financial control of the company’s new manufacturing plants. The position is based in South Asia.
Financial Controller – Manufacturing
Responsibilities:
The successful candidate is expected to:
- Oversee the finance functions of the manufacturing plants
- Set up financial and reporting systems
- Develop and implement policies & procedures
- Provide consolidation, budgeting & forecasting; risk management and internal control
- Act as a business partner to the Senior Management team, and provide strategic insights from a financial perspective
- Participate in ad-hoc projects
Requirements:
- University graduate and a Qualified Accountant preferred
- Over 10 years solid finance management experience gained from the manufacturing sector
- Prior exposure with a start-up is a must
- Strong consolidation and analytical skills especially in budgeting & forecasting
- Mature thinking candidate with a self-starter mindset
- Results driven, confident and strategic
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with fluency in English
- Previous experience of being stationed in South East Asian countries ideal
Production Controller – Garment Manufacturing
Responsibilities:
The successful candidate is expected to:
- Manage the production activities of the multiple factories, ensure effective utilization of production capabilities
- Shoulder full range of production responsibilities and development of production strategies
- Lead the factory managers to improve the overall productivity and quality, cost control and to reduce production lead time
- Occasional meetings with new and existing clients may be required
Requirements:
- Over 10 years experience in factory management from the garment sector is a must
- Proven track record in managing multiple production sites
- Conversant with production planning, production management and quality control, strong manufacturing background with costing knowledge
- Experience in new factory set up and in dealing with trade union, an added advantage
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with good command of English required
- Position is based initially in Bangladesh, with occasional travelling to other parts of Asia
