Vacancy of Legal, Human Resource, Marine Engineer in Selat Melaka Shipbuiding Corporation

Legal Executive

Responsibilities :

- Review, draft and negotiate corporate, commercial and technical agreements.
- Reviewing/vetting and/or drafting agreements/contracts in respect of projects undertaken by company.
- Provision legal support to the business units, which will include advising on all pre-contract and post contract issues and the provision of commercial solutions.
- Coordinate with external lawyers in all legal matters including documentation, litigation, dispute resolution etc.
- Participate and advice on all business dealings of the Selat Melaka such as corporate restructuring, merger and acquisitions, formation of business venture and joint ventures.
- Management and administration of Selat Melaka legal database.
- Liaise with government bodies on regulatory, licensing, compliance and policy matters.
- Keep management abreast of latest development of relevant laws or regulations, and advice on compliance requirement.

Requirements :

- Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor’s Degree, Professional Degree or Master’s Degree in Law or equivalent.
- Strong command of written and spoken English and Bahasa Malaysia is imperative;
- At least one (1) to three (3) years of working experience in the legal profession and/or commercial sector.
- Applicants must be willing to travel.
- Keen eye for details and meticulous.
- Good verbal and written communication skills with knowledge of Microsoft office systems.
- Independent, willing to learn, flexible and adaptable.
- Able to work with minimum supervision.
- Working knowledge of leasing, hire-purchase and factoring will be an added advantage
- Salary will be commensurate with experience and ability.

Human Resource Executive

Responsibilities :

- To assist with all Human Resource functions (Compensation & Benefits, Performance Monitoring, Training & Development, Industrial Relations, trend analysis and etc)
- To handle the documentations and updates of periodic performance reviews.
- To update and maintain the Job Descriptions file and Organisation Chart and monitor the Headcount Planning.
- To prepare monthly insurance updates and handle insurance claims.
- Handle proper Human Resource administration and immigration matters.
- To assist in the implementation of HR policies and procedures.

Requirements :

- At least a Diploma/Degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration or equivalent.
- Good command of written and spoken English and Bahasa Malaysia
- At least one (1) to three (3) years of working experience in overall Human Resource spectrums.
- Applicants must be willing to travel.
- Good verbal and written communication skills with knowledge of Microsoft office systems.
- Meticulous, good time management, self-driven, independent and positive attitude.
- Self-motivated resourceful with excellent interpersonal skills.
- Able to maintain confidentiality and discrete.
- Able to work with minimum supervision.

Technical Exec – Asset Inventory

Responsibilities :

- Develop review and implement standard operating procedures and guidelines in accordance with supply chain requirements.
- To assist in purchasing order & delivery
- To monitor stock level and coordinate with supplier on shipment schedules
- To check stock count variances and conduct cycle count with 100% stock take.
- To control inventory accuracy through and record keeping for frequent cycle counts.
- To plan and manage warehouse stock and physical machine movement.
- To supervise warehouse staff to ensure equipment inventory sales orders are processed and delivered as per schedule.
- To generate monthly reports in timely manner.
- To ensure housekeeping is maintained to a well organized, tidy and clean warehouse/store

Requirements :

- At least a Certificate / Diploma holder in related discipline at least 3 years experience preferably in inventory procurement and shipping environment.
- Independent and able to work with minimum supervision.
- Pleasant personality and good communication skills.
- Able to communicate with all level.
- Possess leadership quality with strong analytical skills.
- Able to work under pressure.

Marine Technical Advisor

Responsibilities :

- To manage and integrate with other department in different functions
- To analyzed and developing proposals and solutions to a wide range of technical and operational problems
- Advise the business on marine technical activities eg. Evaluating the non- standard operations, assessing risk, mitigating measure, product quality issues, HSSE issues etc.
- Expertise in knowing about the legal/shipping boundaries.

Requirements :

- Degree in marine engineering or equivalent discipline from a recognized establishment.
- Self-motivated, mature professional able to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Good command of written and spoken English and Bahasa Malaysia
- At least 3 years working in shipyards operation involving ship building and is in the project management team
- Have a sound analytic and problem solving skills.
- Able to work with groups with different profession background to achieve a common objective.
